What is in the clasroom!

 The Layout!

       Now our class may be fun but it can also be educational especially with technology. Just because you are in first grade does not mean easy work. I want you guys to be able to pass your class tests and state tests which is why in our classroom we will have very rigorous work to do. In certain units like reading and math, I will teach you above your grade level. Meaning if I am asked to teach you guys addition then I will teach you to add up three numbers. Now I can not go with you home to make sure that you are doing what you are supposed to do which is why we will have logs. The logs that I print out each week are just a fancy checklist for me to make sure that you are doing what you are doing. We will also use Plickers and Kahoot as a way to see where are on a lesson, to see what I may need to go over with and who may need additional work. I am used to hearing the excuse that " oh my mom forgot to sign it or my mom did not" there is no need for that in our classroom. We will use google calendar to help us, to help your parents and you keep track of what the homework is, what we are learning on a certain field trip. Now I also know that many students do not have access to the internet but do that mean to be rude and put them at a disadvantage; No! I will personally print a month each month for that classmate and their family. And I not only want to teach you guys on education but character so if a student does not have access to the calendar, I expect you as their classmates to tell them or at least tell me. And since we are using technology in the classroom such as videos for math time, audio for reading, writing games, typing games even homework, however, I want to teach you guys character so be kind, if you know that you are able to finish the work or homework at home then please give your computer time to someone else you may need it more. In addition to this, I want you guys to be comfortable so please feel free to come to my class and tell Hey, Ms. Smith, may I use my free time or recess time for computer time as the internet is hard at home" I will be more than willing to that. Always be kind and always be ready to learn. 😊 I will love it if you guys comment on what technology you want to use to help you with a lesson!
